Who did ESPN’s College GameDay pick to win Penn State’s White Out matchup with Oregon?

The picks are in, and ESPN’s College GameDay is in favor of Penn State.

Four of the five pickers on the college football preview show picked the Nittany Lions, including guest picker and former PSU linebacker LaVar Arrington, former Alabama head coach Nick Saban, ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit and ESPN personality Pat McAfee. Former Michigan defensive back Desmond Howard was the lone person to pick Oregon.

The entire five-person cast was dressed in white or cream for the show, which took place on the lawn of Old Main.

McAfee, who wore a cream suit, said he did so to show he wasn’t biased toward the Nittany Lions, before yelling that he was from Pittsburgh, and that Pennsylvania is the state of football. He jumped onto his chair and tore his shirt off to announce his pick and start a “We Are” chant with the crowd as he made the proclamation that the Nittany Lions were his choice to win.

The Nittany Lions enter Saturday night’s White Out matchup as 3.5-point favorites over the Ducks in the matchup between the No. 3 and No. 6 teams in the country.
