Penn State to hire Noah Pauley as wide receivers coach, source says

Penn State has its wide receivers coach lined up.

The Nittany Lions are set to hire Noah Pauley as the program’s wide receivers coach, according to a source.

On3 first reported Pauley would be hired.

Pauley was with new Penn State head coach Matt Campbell at Iowa State, where he began coaching in 2023. He added the title of passing game coordinator in 2024 with the Cyclones.

The new Penn State receivers coach helped Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel go on the second day of the 2025 NFL Draft, with Higgins going in the second round and Noel going in the third — and both landing with the Houston Texans. Prior to his time with Iowa State, Pauley spent 2019-2022 with North Dakota State, where he coached current Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson.

Pauley began his coaching career at Minnesota-Duluth as a student assistant in 2011.

He’ll replace former wide receivers coach Marques Hagans, who is not expected to be retained on the staff.
