Inside look at Penn State football’s Pro Day, how players impressed NFL scouts: Photos

Twenty of Penn State’s draft hopefuls descended on Holuba Hall and the Lasch Building on Wednesday morning for the program’s annual Pro Day, a time when NFL scouts gather with stopwatches and clipboards to see who belongs at the next level.

Every Nittany Lion took part in some way, although several were limited. Running back Nick Singleton performed 25 reps with the bench-press, for example, but did little else due to a broken foot. Some, like QB Drew Allar, took part in position drills but not in other drills.

And many more players who didn’t have an opportunity at the NFL Combine attempted to sprint and jump onto scouts’ Big Boards.

Wideout Devonte Ross turned in a 4.45-second 40-yard dash Wednesday, while fellow WR Trebor Peña produced a solid all-around performance with 19 bench-press reps and a 4.52.
