Penn State announces details for Blue-White weekend to end spring practice

Penn State has announced the format and activities for the annual Blue-White weekend and, in place of a Blue-White Game, the athletic department instead said Thursday it would host a “Blue-White Practice” on April 25.

The athletic department told the Centre Daily Times back in January that it might shift from its usual game format. And, on Thursday, a department news release described it as featuring “an open-practice format.”

This year’s Blue-White Practice will begin at 1 p.m., with parking lots opening at 8 a.m., and will include free admission for fans. Parking will be $20 in general lots and $30 in preferred lots, with those who had season parking for 2025 already receiving their parking for the practice in that package.

Beaver Stadium Gates A, B, C and E will open for fans at 11 a.m. while Club, Letterman, Museum, ADA and suite entrances will open at 10 a.m.

Seats will be available in the lower bowl in the north, south and east ends of the stadium, with the west being closed due to construction. The upper decks in the north and south ends will not be open for the practice.

While the practice is the centerpiece of the weekend, it’s not the only event taking place.

Penn State will begin the weekend with a “Night at the Museum” on Thursday, April 23, which will allow for free admission to the Penn State All-Sports Museum, late hours until 8 p.m. at the museum and a free poster.

Friday evening will include a kids’ combine in Holuba Hall, where children in eighth grade and below will be allowed to participate in the event hosted by Penn State football staff members and players. Participants will go through a series of football stations led by players, focusing on different skills. The cost for the event is $34 per participant with limited slots, with a parent or guardian required to sign a waiver and stay for the event. Sign-ups are currently available on Ticketmaster.

The weekend will conclude on Saturday with the pregame block party on Curtin Road from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., a team-issued apparel and equipment sale also running from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Pegula Ice Arena, an autograph session with players on the stadium concourse from 11 a.m. to noon, and ultimately the practice at 1 p.m.
