Penn State defensive end Carl Nassib earned a spot on the Sporting News All-America first team on Tuesday.

It is the senior’s seventh first-team accolade, and the eighth All-America recognition overall.

Nassib is the first Nittany Lion to earn Sporting News All-America honors since Allen Robinson’s first-team selection in 2013.

The defensive force has also collected several other accolades, including the Rotary Lombardi Award, Ted Hendricks Award and Lott IMPACT Trophy.

Nassib leads the nation in sacks (15.5) and forced fumbles (6), and is first in the Big Ten with 19.5 tackles for loss.
