Penn State football had a record 56 student-athletes post GPAs of 3.0 or higher in the 2015 fall semester.

The prior record was 55, set in 2008.

Nineteen players earned Dean’s List honors after recording a 3.5 GPA or higher (with at least 12 credits earned) and three players, offensive linemen Brendan Brosnan and Kevin Reihner, and long snapper Tyler Yazujian, earned 4.0 GPAs.

The team also had 43 players that earned all A’s and B’s for the semester, and 22 that earned All-Academic Big Ten honors last fall.
