Penn State football lands another commitment
The Penn State football team received another commitment on Monday when D.J. Brown announced his intentions to join the Nittany Lions on Twitter.
The 5-foot-11, 172-pound defensive back from Fairburn, Ga., will be a senior this fall at Creekside High School. He is rated as a three-star prospect by ESPN, 247Sports and Scout.
According to ESPN, he made 53 tackles and five interceptions during his junior season at Creekside, which finished 8-3, and 34 tackles and four interceptions as a sophomore at Landmark Christian.
He chose the Nittany Lions over a number of other schools giving him offers, including Indiana, Northwestern, Purdue and Wisconsin.
Brown is the eighth known verbal commitment to Penn State for the 2017 class. The offers are non-binding until February, 2017.
