A dynamic young receiver has added his name to Penn State’s commitment Class of 2018.
Justin Shorter, a four-star prospect from New Jersey, announced his pledge to the Nittany Lions on Saturday morning via Twitter. Shorter picked Penn State over Michigan, Tennessee, Ole Miss and Miami. The 6-foot-4, 210-pound Monmouth Junction product averaged almost 19 yards per catch last season and helped his team to an 11-1 record and the NJSIAA Central Group 5 State Championship.
“I feel a very strong connection with Penn State and how they want everyone to succeed on and off the field,” he wrote on Twitter. Shorter hopes to study engineering in college.
His commitment expanded the 2018 class to three members. He joins five-star defensive end Micah Parsons and four-star offensive lineman Chris Bleich.
