What to know about attending the women’s Frozen Four in Pegula Ice Arena
Penn State women’s hockey is making its first Frozen Four appearance, and will do so in Pegula Ice Arena — with tickets available for the weekend.
PSU will take on Wisconsin at 7:30 p.m. Friday, after Ohio State takes on Northeastern at 4 p.m. Friday. The winners of those two games will play for a national championship on Sunday at 4 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased for Friday and Sunday’s games as all-session tickets, or for each individual session — with Friday being Session 1 and Sunday being Session 2. They can be purchased through Ticketmaster, with different prices available. Seats for individual sessions are $40 for adults, or $25 for college students and children. Seats for all sessions are $50 for adults or $35 for college students and children.
A maximum of eight seats can be purchased for each session — with all seating being general admission on both Friday and Sunday.
Penn State will also host a Fan Fest from 2-6 p.m. Friday and 1-4 p.m. Sunday in the Shields Parking Lot outside of Gate A of Pegula. The events will feature a DJ, food trucks and family-friendly activities.
Penn State enters the weekend as the No. 3 seed in the tournament after going 33-5 this season, including 18-1 at home. It went 1-1 against Northeastern and 0-2 against Ohio State this season, with all four matchups coming away from Pegula Ice Arena.
The team did not face Friday’s opponent, Wisconsin, this season.
