PSU’s Juha earns No. 3 hockey star from Big Ten
Penn State’s Luke Juha was named the No. 3 star Tuesday by the Big Ten in the conference’s weekly awarding of three stars.
The senior defenseman collected a goal and three assists as No. 14 Penn State lost to Robert Morris and defeated Clarkson last week at the Three Rivers Classic in Pittsburgh. The four points collected led the conference for the week.
Juha, who also had six blocks, is the seventh different Nittany Lion to pick up a weekly conference hockey honor this season, and the 17th Lion to be honored in the last two seasons.
Goaltenders Christian Frey of Ohio State and Steve Racine of Michigan picked up the first and second stars, respectively.
Penn State hosts Minnesota at 6:30 p.m. Friday and 3 p.m. Saturday at Pegula Ice Arena.
