Penn State women’s soccer finishes in tie with Minnesota

The start to Penn State’s title defending season has been anything but fun.

On Friday night, the Nittany Lions ended up with a 1-1 tie with Minnesota after 120 minutes of play.

Neither team scored in the first half. However, Penn State tallied the first score of game off the toe of Megan Schafer. Marissa Sheva had the assist on Schafer’s goal.

A minute later, Simone Kolander tied the game up for the Gophers off an assist from April Bockin.
