Austin Maloney’s penalty kick lifts Nittany Lions men’s soccer over Wisconsin in 2OT

It took until the second overtime but Penn State took care of Wisconsin.

The Badgers gave up a penalty to the Nittany Lions’ Noah Pilato in the box with just over a minute left in the game.

Penn State’s Austin Maloney struck the penalty kick to the right side of the net as Wisconsin’s goalkeeper Philipp Schilling dove to his left and Penn State won 2-1.

The Nittany Lions held the lead at the 53rd minute when the Badgers scored an own goal.

Wisconsin tied the game up in the 76th minute off the foot of Christopher Mueller.
