Penn State men’s soccer: Maloney leads Nittany Lions past Penn

Connor Maloney scored two goals to lead the No. 21 Penn State men’s soccer team to a 2-0 win over Penn on Wednesday night.

Maloney found the back of the net at the 2:52 mark and again at the 16:44 mark of the first half for the Nittany Lions (4-1-2). Penn State goalie Matt Bersano needed to make one save for the shutout.

The Quakers (0-5-1) took 12 shots, but just one on goal.

Maloney attempted five of Penn State’s seven shots.

Penn goalie Nick Savino made three saves.

The Nittany Lions host Michigan at 2 p.m. Sunday.
