Penn State men’s soccer: Michigan shuts out No. 21 Nittany Lions

The No. 21 Penn State men’s soccer team fell 2-0 to Michigan at Jeffrey Field on Sunday.

The Wolverines (5-2-1) capitalized on their opportunities, scoring two goals on three shots on goal. Michigan’s Will Mellors-Blair found the back of the net at the 35:19 mark, and Francis Atuahene scored at the 89:19 mark.

The Nittany Lions took 15 shots, with five on goal.

Michigan goalie Evan Louro had five saves, and Penn State’s Matt Bersano made one save.

Penn State (4-2-2) plays at Akron at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
