Penn State women’s soccer: Big Ten honors Nittany Lions
On the heels of earning a share of its 17th Big Ten regular-season title in the last 18 seasons, Penn State collected plenty of awards Friday.
Mallory Weber and Raquel Rodriguez each earned first-team All-Big Ten honors. Collecting second-team awards were Megan Schafer, Emily Ogle and Kaleigh Riehl.
Landing spots on the All-Freshman team were Alina Ortega-Jurado, Charlotte Williams, Ellie Jean and Riehl. Senior Teddy Chase picked up the Sportsmanship Award for the team.
The Nittany Lions begin play in the Big Ten Tournament on Sunday, hosting Illinois at 3 p.m. at Jeffrey Field.
