Penn State men’s soccer: Nittany Lions season comes to close in Big Ten quarterfinals

Kyle Culbertson found the back of the net at the 92:07 mark to lift top-seeded Ohio State to a 1-0 overtime victory over ninth-seeded Penn State in the Big Ten men’s soccer tournament quarterfinals Sunday.

Culbertson scored off a rebound, and Austin Bergstrom was credited with an assist.

The Buckeyes outshot the Nittany Lions 22-10.

Penn State goalie Evan Finney made five saves, while Ohio State goalie Chris Froschauer finished with four saves.

Ohio State (12-5-2) advances to take on fourth-seeded Rutgers in the semifinals Friday.

The Nittany Lions finished the season 7-8-3.
