Penn State women’s soccer: Ball lands national honor

Penn State’s Elizabeth Ball was named to the TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week on Wednesday, the seconds weekly honor for the sophomore defender.

Ball helped the Nittany Lions to 1-0 shutout of Michigan and 2-0 of Rutgers en route to winning the Big Ten Tournament title last week, with the team giving up a total of 17 shots over the weekend.

Also, Frannie Crouse was listed with the TopDrawerSoccer Honorable Mention Team of the Week.

Penn State earned a No. 1 seed and will host Albany at 6:30 p.m. Friday in the NCAA first round.
