Rodriguez named MAC Hermann Trophy finalist

The National Soccer Coaches Association of America has named Penn State women’s soccer player Raquel Rodriguez a finalist for the MAC Hermann Trophy.

The senior midfielder joins West Virginia’s Kadeisha Buchanan and Virginia’s Emily Sonnet as finalists.

The MAC Hermann Trophy is the most prestigious award in collegiate soccer. It is presented annually to one male and one female.

The trophy will be awarded Jan. 8 during the Missouri Athletic Club banquet in St. Louis, Mo.
