Nittany Lion Weber invited to U.S. women’s soccer team camp

Mallory Weber has been selected to train with the U.S. women’s national program’s under-23 team.

Weber is among 10 midfielders and 26 women selected to train with the team beginning Monday at the U.S. program’s training complex in Carson, Calif. The group will close the week with a match against the Irish national team on Jan. 25.

The Nittany Lion senior assisted on the game-winning goal in a 1-0 win over Duke in the national championship game last month. She posted eight goals and 11 assists during the season, with the latter number leading the Big Ten. She had 36 goals and 29 assists in 100 career games.
