The Penn State men’s soccer team announced its schedule Monday, with 11 games at Jeffrey Field among the 17 on the regular-season slate and a tough season opener.
The season begins on the west coast visiting defending national champion Stanford on Aug. 26 and California on Aug. 28. The home opener is Sept. 2 against James Madison, with Oakland visiting Sept. 5 and St. Francis in town Sept. 9. Other non-conference games include Temple (Sept. 27), Pittsburgh (Oct. 11), Akron (Oct. 18) and Wright State (Oct. 25).
The home Big Ten schedule includes Ohio State (Sept. 13), Wisconsin (Sept. 23), Michigan State (Oct. 15) and Rutgers (Oct. 21). After the season-opening weekend, the remaining road games on the schedule are all in the conference, with visits to Maryland (Sept. 18), Michigan (Oct. 2), Indiana (Oct. 8) and Northwestern (Oct. 30).
The Big Ten tournament runs from Nov. 5-13.
