Penn State’s Abby Detering nets Setter of the Week honors
Penn State’s Abby Detering was named the Big Ten Setter of the Week on Tuesday.
The junior gave out 91 assists to go with 14 digs and six aces during wins over Northwestern and Illinois. She directed the offense to a .348 hitting performance over last weekend.
Penn State is the No. 16 seed for the NCAA tournament and will host Long Island-Brooklyn at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the first round at Rec Hall.
