PSU’s Nugent named EIVA Offensive Player of Week

For the second straight week, Penn State junior Chris Nugent earned a conference honor for his play leading the men’s volleyball team.

Nugent was named the EIVA Offensive Player of the Week on Monday after helping the Nittany Lions to a 3-0 win over No. 14 St. Francis in their conference opener last Friday.

Nugent finished with 15 kills, one ace and a .370 attacking percentage in the win. He leads the team with 106 kills this season.

The No. 8 Nittany Lions (5-2, 1-0) host Mount Olive in a non-conference matchup at 7 p.m. Saturday.
