Penn State alumnae to play for the U.S. in the Pan Am Cup
Two former members of the Penn State women’s volleyball team have been selected to the U.S. women’s national team roster for the Pan Am Cup.
Setter Micha Hancock and outside hitter Megan Courtney were named to the 12-woman roster for the Pan American Cup, scheduled for July 2-10 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
The pair helped the Nittany Lions to NCAA titles in 2013 and 2014.
Hancock, the 2014 AVCA National Player of the Year and a three-time All-American, graduated from Penn State after the 2014 season, and Courtney, a 2015 All-American, graduated in December of 2015.
The U.S., which has won three of the last four Pan Am Cup titles, opens play in its six-team pool against Peru on July 2.
