Penn State picked 4th in Big Ten preseason poll

Penn State was ranked fourth in the Big Ten’s preseason coaches’ poll, the conference announced Tuesday.

Defending national champion Nebraska is No. 1, followed by Minnesota and Wisconsin. Illinois rounds out the top 5 in the 14-team league’s poll.

Penn State’s Haleigh Washington was a unanimous pick to the Preseason All-Big Ten Team. She was joined by teammate Ali Frantti.

The Nittany Lions host West Virginia at 7 p.m. Friday.
