Mark Hall earned a title to lead a group of 10 Penn State wrestlers at the Bearcat Kaloust Open on Sunday at Binghamton University.
Hall, who wrestled unattached, used two pins, a technical fall and a major decision en route to the 174-pound crown. The 12-4 major decision came in the finals over Harvard’s Josef Johnson.
Gary Dinmore placed second in the 149-pound weight class. Dinmore’s day was highlighted by a 16-2 major decision in the quarterfinals over Princeton’s Max Rogers. He lost to Joseph Galasso in the finals 9-5.
Dominic Giannangeli (2-2, 141), Kellan Stout (2-2, 197), Francisco Bisono (1-1, 174), Scott Stossel (1-1, 125), Justin Lopez (0-2, 125), George Carpenter (0-2, 133), Mason Lindenmuth (1-1, 133) and Brian Friery (0-2, 141) also competed for the Nittany Lions.
