Joseph, Cortez earn crowns for Penn State wrestling
Seven Penn State wrestlers competed in two open tournaments over the weekend.
At the Messiah Open, the Nittany Lions saw Vincenzo Joseph and Jered Cortez each win a title.
Joseph used two pins, a technical fall and a major decision en route to a 165-pound crown. Cortez had two technical falls on his way to a 141-pound title.
Scott Stossel finished second at 125 pounds and Triston Law finished fourth at 141 pounds at the Messiah Open. Patrick Higgins (133) joined the others at the Messiah Open.
Gary Dinmore and Domenic Giannangeli competed at the Edinboro Open. Each captured one win on the day.
