Big Ten wrestling seeding announced
The Big Ten announced preliminary seeding for the 2016 Big Ten Wrestling Championships, and Penn State has four top-seeded participants.
Penn State’s Zain Retherford (149 pounds), Jason Nolf (157), Bo Nickal (174) and Morgan McIntosh (197) all earned No. 1 seeds.
The Nittany Lions, along with Nebraska, will bring a seeded wrestler in each of the 10 weight classes.
In other classes, Penn State has Nico Megaludis (125 pounds, No. 3), Jordan Conaway (133 pounds, No. 3), Jimmy Gulibon (141 pounds, No. 8), Geno Morelli (165 pounds, No. 7), Matt McCutcheon (184 pounds, No. 2) and Nick Nevills (285 pounds, No. 8).
The pre-seeds were voted on by the conference’s coaches.
