State College graduate Kyla Irwin had a very productive afternoon with the Connecticut women’s basketball team on Sunday.

The sophomore forward scored five points, grabbed five rebounds, gave out five assists and added a steal and blocked shot in the No. 1 Huskies’ 106-65 thumping of Cincinnati. Her rebound and assist marks were season highs.

Irwin, who graduated with State College’s career scoring record of 2,032 points, saw 18 minutes of game time Sunday to match her season high, getting more court time with starting point guard Crystal Dangerfield sitting out with an injury.

“Kyla came in and gave us some great minutes,” UConn coach Geno Auriemma told the media in Hartford, Conn., after the win.

UConn (22-0) ran its win streak over unranked opponents to 150 games, and the win followed an 83-58 victory over defending national champion South Carolina on Thursday.

Irwin is averaging 2.7 points and 1.2 rebounds per game this season, playing in 19 of the team’s 22 games.
