State College tops Carlisle in overtime in field hockey

Halle Rex scored the game-winning goal as State College defeated Carlisle 2-1 in overtime Thursday night.

The Lady Little Lions (5-4, 4-2 Mid Penn Commonwealth) scored their first goal from Ava Whitlark in the 29th minute. Carlisle’s first lone goal was scored by Emilie Zukowski in the 19th minute.

Rex then converted three minutes into overtime with an assist from Kelsey Love.

State College goalkeeper Shelby Querry made eight saves and Jessie Lissner made 13 saves for Carlisle.
