Philipsburg-Osceola falls to West Branch in girls’ soccer

Philipsburg-Osceola fell to West Branch 2-1 Monday afternoon.

Madison Lucas’ first-half goal gave the Lady Mounties an early lead, but Delaney Cherry tied it later in the half, and Samantha Hanslovan beat P-O goalie Oda Soervik 11 minutes into the second half for the game-winner.

Soervik made seven saves for the Lady Mounties, while Warriors’ goalie Shannae Fetterolf made eight stops. P-O held a 17-11 advantage in shots.

The Lady Mounties (0-10) next play Penns Valley on Wednesday.
