West Branch edges Philipsburg-Osceola boys’ cross country

Philipsburg-Osceola lost 27-29 to West Branch on Thursday.

Cyrus Lanager of West Branch was the overall winner of the 5-kilometer race with a time of 18 minutes, 6 seconds.

Matthew Shimmel was the leader for Philipsburg-Osceola, finishing second with a time of 18:31. The other top finishers for the Mounties were Dane Soltys (fourth), Zach Myers (fifth), Josh Rea (seventh), and Ben Schiefer (11th).
