State College field hockey’s Shelby Querry signs with Indiana

State College’s Shelby Querry signed her National Letter of Intent to play field hockey at Indiana University last week.

The Lady Little Lions goalie made more than 150 saves this season, helping her team reach the PIAA playoffs and finish with a 14-7 record.

“Her athleticism and agility in the goal cage is hard to match,” State College coach Chelsea Cummins said. “She is a consistent leader on and off the field.”

Querry was State College’s team captain the last two seasons and helped lead the defense for the past three years.

“I have no doubt that she will find success at Indiana University as well as in her future,” Cummins said.
