State College’s Drew Friberg is a Centre Daily Times Athlete of the Week

Hitting a major career milestone has helped Drew Friberg to be named Centre Daily Times Athlete of the Week.

The State College junior scored 29 points Friday night in the Little Lions’ 59-48 basketball victory over Central Dauphin. In the process, he also reached 1,000 points for his career. The win also secured the first outright title for the program of the Mid Penn Conference’s Commonwealth Division.

Earlier in the week, he scored 11 points in a 59-50 win against Carlisle.
