State College baseball postpones first-round playoff game to Tuesday

State College baseball’s opening-round PIAA playoff game is going to have to wait another day.

Due to the rainy weather, the 4 p.m. Monday game against North Allegheny has been moved to 3 p.m. Tuesday at Bald Eagle Area High School. The decision was made before 9 a.m.

The winner will still play Thursday against the winner of Pine-Richland and Penn Manor. There will be no extra day’s rest for any of the teams, however, as that game was also postponed until Tuesday.

The Little Lions moved on to the PIAA playoffs after cruising past Erie McDowell, 10-0 in five innings, during the PIAA Class 6A subregional on Wednesday.

State College is currently 11-10.
