Everything you missed Wednesday in high school sports — and isn’t elsewhere in the CDT — from Aug. 30, 2017:

Boys’ soccer

CCCA rolls to victory

Both Hayden Walker and Mintesinot Borst put on a clinic for the Centre County Christian Academy boys’ soccer team, as they each recorded hat tricks en route to a 7-1 victory over Calvary Christian Academy on Friday.

Walker scored two goals in the first 17 minutes, as the Bulldogs took an early 2-0 lead. Walker’s team led 4-1 at the half.

Walker finished with four goals, Borst with three. CCCA out-shot Calvary by a 19-8 margin.

CCCA (2-0) will next take on Grace Prep at 5:15 p.m. Thursday.

Girls’ soccer

CCCA ties Calvary

Morgan Bair scored two goals for Centre County Christian Academy, as her girls’ soccer team finished with a 2-2 tie against Calvary Christian Academy on Friday night.

Bair scored both her goals in the first half — on assists by Hannah Crafts and Aleesia Shepherd — and the Bulldogs took a 2-1 lead into the half. But Calvary’s Lauren Corbin scored an unassisted goal in the 50th minute to tie the game.

Neither team could score afterward. Both goalies were on top of their games, as CCCA’s Moriah Smith had 12 saves and Calvary’s Lacie Corbin had 10.

CCCA is now 1-0-1 on the season and will next take on Grace Prep on Thursday.
