Bald Eagle Area’s Rilee Bechdel named CDT Athlete of the Week

Bald Eagle Area’s Rilee Bechdel is a Centre Daily Times Athlete of the Week.

The Eagles defensive end/wideout had a night to remember Friday, when he terrorized Philipsburg-Osceola on both offense and defense. Not only did the senior finish with three sacks, but he even had a 29-yard receiving touchdown. Thanks in part to his effort, BEA dominated the Mounties to a 48-0 victory.

Bechdel finished with eight tackles — which was second-best on the team — and he even added a pass deflection. The senior boasted a complete game Friday, even registering one pancake block, as Bald Eagle Area cruised. It was hard to ask for much more from the returning all-state football player.
