State College’s Caylin Saylor named CDT Athlete of the Week

State College’s Caylin Saylor is a Centre Daily Times Athlete of the Week.

The Lady Little Lions cross country runner finished first overall Saturday during the Big Valley Invitational in Reedsville. She clocked a time of 19 minutes, 47 seconds, to beat out a field of 125 other girls and 16 other teams.

In Class 3A, the State College senior paced her team and led it to the invitational crown by beating out Altoona, MIfflin County and Hollidaysburg. She was one of just three girls in the whole invitational who broke the 20-minute mark, and all three happened to be from State College.
