Bald Eagle Area’s Grace Hugar named CDT Athlete of the Week

Bald Eagle Area’s Grace Hugar is a Centre Daily Times Athlete of the Week.

Not only did the girls’ volleyball sophomore help her team to a Thursday sweep over Tyrone — by leading the team in kills (9), aces (3) and digs (5) — but she also led the Lady Eagles to the St. Francis Tournament crown over the weekend.

BEA played seven matches Saturday and beat Westmont-Hilltop in the finals, 25-22, 25-14. Over the course of the tournament, Hugar had a team-high 43 kills, while also recording 31 digs and four aces.
