Bellefonte’s Cassandra Vogel is a CDT Athlete of the Week

Bellefonte’s Cassandra Vogel is a Centre Daily Times Athlete of the Week.

The committed girls’ golfer has been the Lady Red Raiders’ top athlete all season. And that came to fruition last Tuesday, when she won the District 6 Class 3A championship by carding a 92 at Summit Country Club.

The victory didn’t come easy, but Vogel remained calm under pressure. When the championship went into a playoff, she cemented her win on the very first hole.

She also advanced to the PIAA West Regional at Toms Run, which will take place Monday.
