Girls’ volleyball

Lady Eagles sweep county-rival Lady Rams

WINGATE — Bald Eagle Area did well on the defensive end to keep rallies going in a 3-0 sweep of Penns Valley on Tuesday.

Alyson Onder led the Lady Eagles with 14 digs as Grace Hugar added 12 in the 25-14, 25-14, 25-11 victory.

Hugar also led BEA with 12 kills as Jordan Anderson added nine more. Anderson led her team with three blocks, Elita Brown had five aces and Madison Rockey dished out 34 assists.

P-O tops Bellefonte

PHILIPSBURG — Morgan Thompson and Mollie Maguire each had eight kills to lead Philipsburg-Osceola over Bellefonte 25-17, 25-15, 25-15.

Thompson also led the Lady Mounties with seven aces.

Hannah Thompson led P-O with 16 assists and McKenzie Welker had seven digs to pace the way.
