A pair of Centre County athletes earned All-State honors for the fall season from the Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Association.

Bellefonte’s Alana Masullo and Bald Eagle Area’s Jared Gettig each landed the honors.

Gettig was third on the Eagles in both goals and assists, with 12 and nine, respectively. The senior midfielder helped BEA to a 15-4-1 record — including a 12-1-1 mark in the Mountain League to capture the league title — and helped the team reach the District 6 Class 2A semifinals.

Gettig was one of 31 midfielders on the boys’ list, which was not divided into classes or small- and large-school divisions.

Masullo notched one goal and one assist while anchoring a youthful back line for the Lady Red Raiders. The senior back helped Bellefonte to a 10-8 record, 10-5 in the Mountain League, and a District 6 tournament berth.

Masullo was one of just 14 defenders to make the all-state girls’ list, also not divided up by school size.
