BEA’s Grace Hugar named CDT’s Female Athlete of the Fall Sports Season

Bald Eagle Area’s Grace Hugar is the Centre Daily Times’ Female Athlete of the Fall Sports Season.

The Lady Eagles’ sophomore volleyball player boasted a rare versatility — as a great hitter and a crisp passer — that made an indelible impact on her team. She helped lead BEA to a district title and a perfect 19-0 record heading into the PIAA tournament.

Hugar was rewarded with a plethora of honors already for her season. She was named the Mountain League MVP and earned a spot on the all-state team. The outside hitter also finished with 54 aces, 363 kills and 265 digs.

She was called “freakishly athletic” by her coach, and she’s already earned a name for herself in Centre County.
