The Rams trailed 8-4 after the first quarter but rallied with a 14-5 run in the second quarter. Mifflinburg tried to mount a comeback late in the game — but Penns Valley stopped it short.
“I thought the guys played a real solid game,” PV coach Terry Glunt said, referring to his team. “They made some clutch shots at the end when Mifflinburg came back.”
The Rams will next take on St. Joseph’s at 7 p.m. Monday.
P-O starts strong
