P-O’s Halle Herrington named CDT Female Athlete of the Week

Philipsburg-Osceola’s Halle Herrington is a Centre Daily Times Athlete of the Week.

The Lady Mounties’ junior guard recorded her 1,000th career point in the first quarter of the season opener en route to a 39-point performance and a 78-43 win over West Branch. And Monday’s performance was no flash in the pan.

Two days later, on Wednesday, she poured in 26 points against Tyrone in a loss. And, against Bald Eagle Area on Friday, she recorded 37 points in a 52-39 win over the Lady Eagles — nearly outscoring her opponent single-handedly.

So far this season, she’s accounting for more than 55 percent of P-O’s total points. P-O is 2-1 on the year.
