Campus Corner: State College grad Bryan Sekunda a solid contributor for Stony Brook

Bryan Sekunda, a State College graduate, is averaging 8.6 points per game for Stony Brook.

The college senior has also pulled down 29 rebounds, 22 assists, a steal and two blocks so far this season. Stony Brook is 4-8 to date.

Wrestling

Corey Hazel (Penns Valley, Lock Haven) went 2-0 at the Bald Eagle Duals over the weekend and is 9-4 at 184 pounds. Lock Haven won the event, going 3-0, and is 4-0 for the season.

Basketball

Zach Engle (Penns Valley, Juniata) averages 3.2 minutes, 1.0 rebounds, 0.3 points, 0.2 blocks and 0.2 assists for the Eagles, who are off to an 8-0 start.

Jalyn Shelton-Burleigh (State College, Lock Haven) averages 5.4 points per game. She has 37 rebounds, five assists and five steals. Lock Haven is 1-8.

Kyla Irwin (State College, UConn) has six rebounds, four assists, two steals and a 1.5 points-per-game scoring average. The Lady Huskies are 8-0 and ranked No. 1.

Jess Book (Bellefonte, Grove City) is averaging 3.6 points per game and 3.3 rebounds and also has four assists and two steals. Grove City is 4-5.

Cass Book (Bellefonte, Grove City) averages 0.8 points per game to go with 1.3 rebounds and two assists.

Tommy Sekunda (State College, Seton Hill) has a 7.0 points-per-game scoring average, 22 rebounds, six assists and a steal. Seton Hill is 3-6.

Taylor Love (State College, Marymount) is averaging 1.5 points, 1.9 rebounds, 0.5 assists and 0.4 steals per game. Marymount is 7-1.

Trey Butterworth (BEA, PSU-Altoona) has played in two games and has a steal and is averaging 1.5 points per game. Altoona is 6-4.
