The high school football season may have ended more than a month ago — but all-state honors are still rolling in for some of Centre County’s best.

Earlier this week, eight county athletes earned honors on the Pennsylvania Football News’ all-state teams. There were two teams for each of the six classes, along with a handful of honorable mentions.

Here’s how it broke down:

Class 6A (State College)

Second team (3)

WR Brandon Clark: He put together one of the best seasons by a receiver in county history. Not only did he set a school record with 16 touchdown catches, but he also had 51 receptions for 895 receiving yards.

OL Robert Nachtman: The Delaware enrollee was part of a line that helped spring the offense to 41 touchdowns and nearly 3,000 rushing yards.

DL Jackson Heasley: He had 94 tackles, to go along with a team-high 13.5 sacks.

Honorable mention (1)

ATH Cohen Russell: He did a little bit of everything for the Little Lions, as he finished with 289 rushing yards, 549 receiving yards, 402 punt-return yards and 129 kick-return yards

Class 4A (Bellefonte)

Honorable mention (2)

ATH Dylan Deitrich: He became the first Centre County player to both rush and pass for more than 1,000 yards in a single season. The quarterback finished with 1,245 passing yards and a county-leading 1,535 rushing yards. He also posted 12 passing touchdowns and a school-record 26 rushing scores.

DL Caleb Rockey: He amassed 48 solo stops, 10 sacks and 20 tackles for loss.

Class 3A (Bald Eagle Area)

First team (1)

DL Rilee Bechdel: He watched his numbers drop his senior season due to more opponents countering him with double-teams. But, in 10 games, he still finished with an impressive 42 solo tackles, six sacks and 13 tackles for loss.

Honorable mention (1)

DB Gage McClenahan: He had just over 1,000 all-purpose yards. But that’s not why he made this list. McClenahan also had 56 tackles, six tackles-for-loss, four interceptions, five pass deflections, two fumble recoveries and a forced fumble.
