SJCA cruises
BOALSBURG Denaya Poston-Cooper and Selena Mann combined for more than half of their team’s scoring output in the Lady Wolves’ 49-28 win Saturday over Cowanesque Valley.
Poston-Cooper tallied 16 points, while Mann netted 13 in the St. Joseph’s girls’ basketball victory.
SJCA led just 4-2 after the first quarter but used a 16-3 run in the second quarter to take a comfortable lead into halftime.
St. Joseph’s (15-3) will next take on Philipsburg-Osceola at 6 p.m. Monday.
BEA falls in low-scoring affair
WINGATE No Lady Eagle scored more than six points Saturday en route to a 32-17 loss to Bloomsburg.
Bald Eagle Area fell behind 11-4 in the first quarter and couldn’t rebound. Lacee Barnhart and Alexis Bucha both led BEA with six points apiece.
