Penns Valley 40, Philipsburg-Osceola 14 (final)

Penns Valley found the end zone in its first possession of the game. Quarterback Jackson Romig hit Miles Brooks on a slant pass for a 57-yard score. Cole Felker’s PAT attempt was good, and the Rams took the 7-0 lead at 10:13 in the first quarter.

A big catch by Zach Braucht helped eat up a lot of yardage in the Rams’ second possession. Brooks caught a short pass and ran it in 6 yards for his second score of the evening. The PAT was no good, and the Rams led 13-0 at 5:47 in the second quarter.

A 61-yard touchdown run from Ty Watson gave the Rams the 19-0 lead with 8:06 left in the half. The PAT again failed.

Romig hit John Meyer for a 26-yard touchdown pass play. Watson’s PAT was good as the Rams extended their lead to 26-0 with 5:14 remaining in the half.

Watson punched one into the end zone from the 1-yard line with 38.5 left in the half after a Mountie fumble. His PAT was good and the Rams led 33-0 at the half.

Tanner Ilgen punched it in at 7:56 in the third quarter. Watson’s PAT was good to make it 40-0 Penns Valley and to start the running clock.

A touchdown pass from Ben Gustkey to Nick Johnson denied the Rams of the shutout. Carson Long’s PAT was good, as the Rams led 40-7 at 3:25 left in the third.

P-O continued its effort to chip away at Penns Valley’s lead with a 4-yard TD run by Andrew Faust. Long’s PAT made it 40-14 with 4:46 left in the game.

A last-ditch effort for a third Mountie touchdown failed as the Rams won it, 40-14.

Bellefonte 14, Clearfield 47 (final)

Clearfield got out to a fast start against Bellefonte, scoring on its first two possessions. QB Oliver Billotte, who recently committed to Kent State, hit Karson Kline for a 57-yard touchdown pass. Billotte hit Kline again on the next possession for a 50-yard touchdown play on fourth-and-8 to make it 14-0.

Bellefonte got on the board with a 22-yard run by Triston Heckman to make it 14-7 late in the first.

Clearfield extended its lead to 21-7 before the end of the first quarter.

Kline hauled in his fourth TD catch of the game to give the Bison the 28-7 advantage with 31 seconds left in the half.

Another big play extended the Bison lead in the third quarter, as Jose Alban’s 52-yard run made it 35-7.
