State College soccer’s Carson Litzinger is the Centre Daily Times’ Athlete of the Week for Nov. 1-6

State College soccer’s Carson Litzinger was voted the Centre Daily Times’ Athlete of the Week for Nov. 1-6 by our readers. He won 29.78% of the vote (335 votes), beating out Bald Eagle football’s Garrett Burns, who finished second with 22.4% of the vote (252 votes).

Litzinger had a strong week, including a two-goal game against Altoona to take home a District 6 Class 4A soccer championship. The Little Lions defeated the Mountain Lions 7-1 and Litzinger opened up the game with an early score. His second goal came with 9:46 left in the second half to give State College a 4-0 lead.
