State College football’s Jashaun Green was voted the Centre Daily Times’ Athlete of the Week for Nov. 8-13 by our readers. He won with 41.31% of the vote (214 votes) and was followed by Philipsburg-Osceola volleyball’s Kalista Butler, who finished with 27.41% of the vote (142 votes).
Green aided his team to a 17-14 victory over Williamsport in the District 6 Class 6A championship on Nov. 12. He had a 31-yard touchdown to give the Little Lions a 7-0 lead, following the extra point, with 9:33 remaining in the first quarter. He had seven carries for 83 yards and a touchdown on the ground and three catches for 13 yards.
With State College football being the lone Centre County team still in postseason action, the Athlete of the Week poll will take a break this week. Check back next Monday (Nov. 29) to vote for the Athlete of the Fall Season.
